Great Dane Rescue of S.C. makes lifetime commitments to its residents. Whether they are seniors, have health or behavior issues our animals will always be kept safe and loved. We never rule out the chance of a home for these animals but this will be considered on an individual basis.
Gracie & Dylan
Gracie and Dylan are part of the Chesterfield family. Their story can be found
under the rescue page of the website.
Gracie was diagnosed with cancer two years ago. She is doing great. Dylan has become attached to us and inseparable from his mom. They both live with us and are considered part of our family.
Cleo
Cleo is a 4 1/2 year old Blue Great Dane. She loves to play, is good with most other dogs and is a fun-loving princess!
Cleo has many issues with certain people. She does not like teenage boys and certain men. Even though she has never bitten anyone she has lashed out and showed teeth before. We do not feel safe placing her for these reasons.
Sirius Lee
Sirius Lee is a 5 year old black Great Dane. He is a wonderful boy but becomes too protective of his owners. When we placed him into a great home he bit someone as they approached he and his owner while they were sleeping in bed. For this reason he will stay at the rescue unless a home comes to us that understands he MUST be put in a room anytime company comes to protect the visitors in case he feels his owner is being threatened.
Sirius is a fun loving boy with us and our volunteers. He loves to go on car rides and loves to run and play in the yard.
