Ophelia's Success Story

Ophelia was found wandering the streets in a Florida town. A small breed rescue took her in and nursed her back to health.

 

As she recovered, she was making herself right at home on the family couch! When it was time, they contacted us and we decided it would be best if we as a Great Dane rescue tried to find her a home.

 

When she got to the rescue she found a friend in Goliath and they went to a home together. Unfortunately, we had to take both of them back as we felt the standard of care was sorely lacking and both of these dogs were in danger.

 

On March 2, 2007 we got an e-mail. The subject read “Who do you have”? The senders were our friends at the small breed rescue in Florida. They had just lost their beloved Jackson and wanted another dog to love. Imagine their surprise when they found our that Ophelia was back!

 

Ophelia had no clue what was about to happen. She thought this was just another bathday.

 

We met in Georgia and Ophelia was delighted to see her old friends and happily jumped into their car. I think she realized that her old friends were going to be her new parents!

 

Back to Florida, back to her original rescuers, back home! Life made a full circle and Ophelia found her couch once again.
