Moses' Rescue Story

On September 9, 2008 we rescued this
beautiful, gentle soul from a local shelter. His stomach was noticeably distended and his breathing was extremely labored. We rushed him to a veterinary surgery center for
emergency care.

A cardiologist diagnosed Moses with
cardiomyopathy, a dreadful heart disease.
He will be on meds for the rest of his life. Within days of taking these medications, he started to lose the fluid in his stomach and his heart was starting to pump better. His breathing was easier also. As the fluid left we were heartbroken to see how
emaciated he really was. We could count his ribs and backbones.

This is a huge open, infected wound on his rear foot.

With great nutrition and love we can help his ravaged body come back to health.

We do not know who caused Moses such pain or lack of healthcare, but with your help we can give him the gift of life. Please become a sponsor!

On September 19, 2008 we lost Moses to Cancer

The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.
