Lucas' Success Story

On November 26, 2005 a beautiful deaf Dane named Lucas came to the rescue. He was surrendered to the Ark Animal Hospital in Surfside Beach by his owners who could no longer care for him properly. The good people from Noah’s Program brought him to us. From the day he got here Lucas was our angel. We knew finding the proper home that was knowledgeable about deafness and committed was going to be a challenge.

As luck would have it we didn't have to look far. Our associates who adopted Mickey Mantle had grown attached to Lucas. On April 6, 2006 Lucas was taken to his new home. The celebration began with treats for everybody!

Mickey (middle) and Fargo (right) did not seem to mind that they had to share the family bed with their new brother!

The following day Lucas and his siblings went for a walk on the beach. Thank God he loved it because his family walks the beach almost every day!

Lucas fell asleep hugging his new dad. He has found the perfect family, the perfect home and perfect loving arms to hold him.
