Hitch’s Success Story

Hitch was sold to a teenage girl at the flea market in the spring of 05. She bought it as a gift for her boyfriend. He in turn did not like the puppy and tied him to a cement block one night because he was crying too much. We were very happy to get this beautiful puppy out of that situation.

Hitch became good buddies with Tinkerbelle (Katie) at the rescue. We thought it would be best to put him in a foster home because he was so young.

We were wrong about the fosters. The first one wanted to adopt him and then changed her mind. The second one had a disagreement with the rescue so dropped him off like it was his fault. We were happy to get him back to the rescue where he was safe and stable.

At the rescue Hitch learned that he could be loved for real. In less then 6 months he won the hearts of our newest volunteers, Devon and Stan. They fell madly in love and the feelings were clear, Hitch had found his forever home!

Hitch jumped in the back of the car and headed to his new beginning.

Beaker, a Pembroke Corgi and Aries, a lab mix were welcoming Hitch into the family with a big dose of playtime! The yard was full of different size balls, Hitches favorite things!

He stopped playing to give his dad some special love.

He didn’t want to leave mom out so he ran inside to give her some love too!

Inside, he had a crate filled with toys and a comfortable blanket.

This family even had a new feeding station set up just for Hitch. What a lucky boy!

It was like a Christmas that didn’t end. He found the
family toy box and it had more balls!

Finally settling down from all the
excitement Hitch relaxed in the living room.

And when it was time for me to leave I turned around to see how happy he was and how much love his new family had for him. This was certainly a good day.
