Nixon

Nixon is a young black male Great Dane. Even though Nixon is a healthy boy he is a very special medical case. Nixon was born with two of many of his organs and we want to make sure he is monitored throughout his life to insure he stays as healthy as he is now. His new family must be willing to use our specialist Dr. Henri Bianucci in Mt. Pleasant so it would be helpful to adopt him within that area. He is waiting for his neuter appt. and then will be ready for adoption.

Usher

Usher is a 1 yr. old Great Dane mix. We rescued him from a local shelter. Usher has a wonderful personality and loves playing with the other boys and girls at the sanctuary. Cleo

Cleo is almost 3 years old. She is a beautiful blue Great Dane. Cleo is housetrained and has great house manners. She loves to play and be with her human friends. Cleo is skittish upon meeting people and seems to distrust teenagers. Her new owners must be prepared to do proper introductions and keep her life calm for the first few weeks until she trusts them and her new surroundings. She is loving and well behaved and will make some lucky family a perfect companion. If she's a match for you, please fill out the online application.

Duke & Anka

Duke, a 6 1/2 year old Blue Great Dane and Anka, a 3 1/2 year old Shepherd, must be adopted together. Duke has Pannus in his eyes and must have one set of drops daily for life.
Duke and Anka are the perfect duo. They are house-trained and very well behaved in a home. Both of them are cuddle dogs and very easy to care for. We cannot separate these two because of the bond they have with each other. It would be best if Duke and Anka are the only dogs in the household as Duke can sometimes be male dog aggressive. It will be a lucky family that adopts these wonderful dogs. If you are interested in adopting both of them please fill out the on-line application.

Sirius Lee

Sirius Lee is a beautiful 4 1/2 year old black Great Dane. He was in 3 homes, a shelter and then brought to us within one months time. Sirius loves to play with balls, he is an active, fun-loving boy who wants to be part of a wonderful family. Sirius is a bit shy when he meets new people, so his prospective family would have to be able to visit him at the rescue several times before adoption. Once he gets to know you, he will be attached to you at the hip forever!
Apply to adopt Sirius Lee by submitting the online application through this website. Sirius and Mukai have become great friends and love to play together - they'd make a great pair!

Gracie is a 6 yr. old Dane who lived through some horrible treatment. You can read about her rescue story here. Gracie is an angel. She has a great personality, gets along well with other dogs, kids and adults, she is housetrained and well-behaved. Gracie needs a home that will make a lifetime commitment to her. Update 1/5/09

Gracie's cancer treatment has done well. She's still happy and energetic and adores the attention! The tumors have not returned. She will remain as unavailable for adoption at this time. Our dream for her is to have a chance to live in a home, something she has never had in her entire life. Her life has been tough. She loves to come inside our house and wander around...such a dignified lady!

Dylan

a wonderful example of why we rescue

Dylan is a 3 1/2 yr old beautiful black Dane. You can read about his rescue story here. He is a very special boy and had never been touched by human hands until he was captured on a catch stick brought to a shelter and then delivered to us. It took him quite a while to trust us and he has come a very long way. He will need a family that has experience with shy dogs or is willing to learn. Now that Gracie has cancer...we will not adopt him at this time...we don't want to stress Gracie in these next few months. Will update as conditions change for our boy.

Rigby

The day after surgery!

Rigby is a beautiful male 6 year old Sheltie. After being brought to a local vet for euthanasia by a breeder simply because they were "done" with him, we took him into rescue. He has a wonderful personality and is looking for a home with plenty of love to share.
